MUSIC INDUSTRY PEOPLE - NEW ZEALAND / AUSTRALIA
George Ash is the President of Universal Music Asia / Pacific (as of February 2013) and formerly the President of Universal Music Australasia before he was promoted. George Ash is also the Chairman of the PPCA in Australia and is a board member of ARIA.
ABOUT HIM:
George Ash was born in New Zealand and founded Universal Music’s New Zealand office in 1995 which he ran until 2001. In 2001 he relocated to Australia to take up the helm of Managing director of Universal Music Australia where he remained until he was promoted to President of Universal Music Australasia in 2010.
