Cliff Baxter was an important figure in the Australian Recorded Music Industry who is best remembered as the former General Manager and a company director of Brashs recorded music and accessories division. Cliff helped the company attain massive retail growth in Australia during the 1970's and early to mid 1980's. Brashs massive heights of music retail power gained during the late 1980's and early 1990's has been attributed to strong leadership of Cliff Baxter. Prior to joining Brashs he enjoying a long standing career with EMI Music culminating as state manager for Victoria and playing a pivotal role in the development of artists such as John Farnham and Russell Morris. Cliff Baxter retired in 1986 and passed away in June 2007 aged 81.
