ABOUT HER:

Anita's introduction to music came when she started singing harmonies as a child with her brothers and when she got older, she found she was in demand with a number of cover bands in the 1980's.

Prior to entering the music industry she found herself in the film industry where she had speaking parts in the Sullivans and the Young Doctors but the music industry beckoned and in the early 1980's she took an on-the-road job with Goanna, doing art-work and merchandising for the band.

Invited to join an unknown cover band as a keyboard player and vocalist singing harmonies, she decided this was for her.

Her first known band was Teachers Pet.

In between bands she bought a PA system and van and took up being a roadie and providing sound systems for gigs.

Recognising that maybe Australian legends of the music industry were being forgotten and that their stories were going untold, she conceptualised a TV show that became Wrokdown that was broadcast for 130 programs on Channel 31 in Melbourne commencing in 2008.

The show built up a large following, but costs kept escalating and eventually she was forced to close the show and now runs a radio program called Wrokdown Radio.

Anita continues to write her own songs, record and release her own music.
