HOW TO LINK A NAME + LISTINGS RULES

How to Link a Name (after you have created a page) on our Global Music Industry Directory listing pages…

Step 1

Look for the EDIT button which is located in two sections on the screen: (1) On the top right hand corner of the page or (2) on the bottom center right section of the page. Then Click the EDIT button.

Step 2

Scroll down the screen and you will see the 'Edit the page' heading and a window that open up allowing you to have access to the code of this page. Please Be Careful not to delete other entries from this page and upset other peoples listings.

Step 3

Create a bullet point via either the bullet button (located in the editing buttons panel) or by typing in an asterisk and then either type or copy&paste the internal link address to your page. Then put three left square open brackets (e.g. [[[ ) in front of your text and three square close brackets (e.g. ]]] ) at the end of your internal link address.

Please note the internal link address will not include the full URL address of its web page:

FULL URL ADDRESS of Local Australian Music Artists 'Schism' (a defunct Melbourne band)
http://ye-olde-music-industrapedia.wikidot.com/music-artists-australia:schism

INTERNAL LINK ADDRESS of that same address for 'Schism' (without square brackets)

  • music-artists-australia:schism

INTERNAL LINK CREATED with Square Brackets (as it will appear in the 'Edit the page' editing window)

  • [[[music-artists-australia:schism]]]

THE WORKING LINK FOR SCHISM as it will appear of the band listing page (after you save your edit)

Please Note: You will notice that the 'music-artists-australia' part of the 'Schism' internal link remains hidden on Music Industrapedia (and on any Wikidot based page), that's because it works behind the scenes to organise the overall architecture of pages on our site, and with out that we couldnt create the various categories in our music directory)

Here is the actual page that Schism is listed on on Music Industrapedia so you can see how it all works…

Step 4

Click the SAVE button at the bottom centre of the screen to save your listing (very important).

IMPORTANT RULE: You are forbidden to remove any entry from our site. Only members of the Industrapedia Music Council are permitted to do so. Anyone removing another persons entry will be banned from our site until a sizeable fine in paid in compensation. If you see an entry you think that needs to be removed (including one on you or your music projects) please write to us at moc.liamg|aidepartsudni#moc.liamg|aidepartsudni and let us know why and we will consider your request.
