What Is A Content Entity?

GUIDE TO MUSIC INDUSTRAPEDIA

A Content Entity is an 'item of interest' that forms the major content on Music Industrapedia. Think of "content" (i.e. the contents of a website) as "all the stuff you may want to look up that's on our web site" like bands, or venues or people. A content entity will usually take up a single page on our site (e.g. John Lennon or The Beatles), however as the information for that content entity expands there may be auxiliary pages such as 'product' pages which would include albums released by John Lennon which in themselves could be considered as a content entity.

Here is a list of items of interest that make up Content Entities on Music Industrapedia:

THE IMPORTANCE OF CONTENT ENTITIES
It is important for us to make this distinction and definition about 'content entities' on Music Industrapedia because of the need to explain the important step of Multi-Listing Content Entities on our site. Please check out our How To Multi-List a Content Entity page on Music Industrapedia.

MUSIC INDUSTRAPEDIA IS ESSENTIALLY CONTENT PAGES & LISTINGS
When you strip back Music Industrapedia to its fundamentals it mainly consists of (a) Content Pages (i.e. made up of 'content entities' as listed in point form above) and (b) Listings Pages (made up through the process of Multi-Listing). With (a) content pages and (b) our site would be a pointless empty shell - hence the importance to understand these two vital areas for you as a 'content contributor' member on our site.
