ABOUT THEM:
Blood In The Champagne is a three-piece darkwave band from Naarm (Melbourne). They describe their music as "a blend of punchy post-punk energy, waves of ethereal gothic charm and a lingering urge to go out and “do some shit.”" Formed in June 2024, 'Blood In The Champagne' consists of Adem on drums who hails from Turkiye, Kymin on Bass from New Zealand and Gabe on guitar and synths from the UK. The philosophical outlook of the band has been described by themselves as being "driven by themes of class consciousness, capitalist realism, queerness, climate chaos, romance in a dust storm and political awakenings".
At the time of writing, the band has a number of gigs under their belt and are currently in the studio recording a new EP which is slated for release in 2025.
