Ye Olde Australian Record Companyarians is a Social media Networking society created by SImon Rashleigh in 2007 dedicated to preserving the history of the Australian Recorded Music Industry and providing and networking portal between current and former music industry members.
The Ye Olde Australian Record Companyarians is mainly based on Facebook with two parts to its Facebook presence as a 'FRIEND' as well as a 'GROUP'. AT the time of writing this (18th October 2010) its Facebook presence is supported by 1477 Friend Members and 956 Group members. The Australian version of Ye Olde Record Companyarians is also established on social media sites such as Linked In, Twitter, My Space, ReverbNation, Who Tune and Sound Cloud.
The popularity of the site spawned sisters sites 'Ye Olde American Record Companyarians' in June 2010 and 'Ye Olde UK Record Companyarians' in August 2010.
