REEFER CABARET - PRAHRAN

The Reefer Cabaret (now defunct) was a music venue staged out of the Ormond Hall (just off St.Kilda Road Melbourne) in Moubray Street Prahran in the mid 1970's. Originally held at the Dallas Brookes Hall (one night only) it moved to Ormond Hall and became a regular event till 1976 when it folded. The Reefer Cabaret was also the staging ground for the iconic Australian live album 'A Reefer Derci'. After the Reefer Cabaret folded a similar night was staqed in the later 70's called 'Stoned Again' at the Ormond Hall in honour and in continuum of the Reefer Cabaret days.
