ABOUT THEM:

'Oboreta ebi no kenshi hōkokusho' literally translates to "The Autopsy Report of a Drowned Shrimp" who are a collective of music artists formed in Kyoto in 2001. It is mainly expressed in the form of a progressive music group currently composed of ten musicians organized around a ceremonial leader (Yamamoto Kazuki): drums, percussion, bass, guitar, keyboards, trumpet, trombone. During their shows, all the musicians wear colorful clothes and especially impressive shrimp masks with bright eyes.

In recent years, the group has built a small reputation and finds itself invited to major Japanese festivals such as Fuji Rock or the Rising Sun. They released their first album in 2013 on the independent Osaka label, Gyuune Cassette.

After a second album in 2015, the group shortens its name to Oboreta Ebi! on the occasion of its fifteenth anniversary then released a third album in June 2016.

Their most recent reported concert was at Banana Hall in Osaka in April 2018 - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZxA52gh70UY&
