DESCRIPTION: Human League are synth pop band from Sheffield who started out as a critically acclaimed new wave electronic rock group (producing two albums) until 1980 when half of its members (Martyn Ware and Ian Marsh) left to form Heaven 17 and the other half (Phil Oakey & Philip Wright), remained and changed direction. Oakey then recruited two in-experienced female singers, sold out and became a synthpop band churning out hits like 'Dont you want me baby'
